This is a video presentation on ACS. While it does have some content that is hospital based, it is a great training tool and can give you insight as a pre-hospital care provider in to what goes on after you leave the patient at the hospital. Some key points in this video are to:
List the three classes of Acute Coronary Syndrome
List the appropriate acute interventions needed for a patient symptomatic for Acute Coronary Syndrome.
List at least three differential diagnoses of chest pain.
List four diagnostic tests needed for a patient symptomatic for Acute Coronary Syndrome.
Identify a normal ECG vs. ST elevation MI.
Understand the importance of rapid treatment.
Identify treatment plan for STEMI patients.
Have a better understanding of STEMI and be able to provide excellent care to these patients.
